Service
OperationalSecurity monitoring for small and medium businesses in Namibia
An entry-level monitored service for smaller Namibian organisations: continuous detection, alerting and monthly reporting, without a full SOC engagement.
Overview
Not every Namibian organisation needs, or can justify, a full managed SOC engagement on day one. A twelve-person professional practice in Windhoek with a server, a domain and thirty laptops still has something worth protecting, and still has nobody watching it.
Security monitoring is the entry point. Endpoints and servers are monitored continuously, vulnerabilities are tracked, and alerts reach you when something needs attention. You receive a monthly report showing what happened and what to fix, written so an owner or manager can act on it without a security background.
The exposure here is not theoretical. Roughly 27 percent of small and medium businesses globally were hit by ransomware in the past year, and around three quarters say they could not continue trading if it happened. Most attacks are automated and indiscriminate, so being a small Namibian business provides no protection whatsoever.
It is a genuine control rather than a token one, and it is designed to be upgraded. Organisations frequently begin here and move to Managed SOC as they grow or as their risk profile changes, with no redeployment required.

Common questions
Security Monitoring in Namibia: what buyers ask
- Is security monitoring affordable for a small business in Namibia?
- It is scoped and priced for small estates, which is the entire point of this service rather than the full SOC engagement. Pricing follows the number of devices monitored, so a thirty-device business pays for thirty devices. Set against the cost of a week of downtime, which most small Namibian businesses cannot absorb, it is generally the cheaper side of the calculation.
- Why would attackers target a small Namibian business?
- Most attacks do not select their target. Automated scanning finds exposed services, credential stuffing tries stolen passwords everywhere, and ransomware is delivered to whoever opens the attachment. None of it evaluates whether a business is large enough to be interesting. What differs is the consequence: a large organisation absorbs a week of disruption, and a twenty-person business frequently cannot.
- What do we actually receive each month?
- A report covering alerts by severity, anything investigated and its outcome, your vulnerability position and whether it is improving, the assets appearing most often, and a short prioritised list of what to fix next. It is written to be read by an owner or manager, with the technical detail available underneath rather than in place of plain language.
- Can we upgrade to a full managed SOC later?
- Yes, and without redeploying anything. The agents, collection and configuration stay in place; what changes is the addition of analyst triage, investigation and formal escalation. Many Namibian organisations start with monitoring and move to Managed SOC as headcount, client requirements or regulatory exposure grows.
