Cybersecurity assessment for Namibian organisations

An independent review of your current security posture, producing a prioritised and costed improvement plan rather than a list of findings.

Overview

A security assessment is the sensible first engagement for most Namibian organisations. It establishes what you actually have, where the material risk sits, and what sequence of work would reduce it fastest, before anyone commits to a monitoring contract.

We review security architecture and network exposure, access control and privileged accounts, endpoint and server configuration, backup and recovery readiness, logging and monitoring coverage, and the processes around all of it.

The deliverable is a prioritised plan, not a list of findings. Anyone can produce two hundred observations. The value is in stating which six matter most for your organisation, what each costs to address in Namibian terms, and in what order to do them.

For organisations preparing for the Data Protection Bill or responding to a client security questionnaire, the assessment doubles as the evidence base: it establishes what personal information you hold, where it lives, and who can reach it.

Suited to

  • Namibian organisations that do not know their current security posture
  • Boards and executives needing an independent view of cyber risk
  • Businesses preparing for a client, insurer or regulatory security review
  • Organisations planning security investment and needing to sequence it
  • Companies preparing for Namibian data protection obligations

What you receive

Deliverables

Specific and contractible, rather than a description of effort.

  • Review of security architecture and internet-facing exposure
  • Access control and privileged account review
  • Endpoint and server configuration assessment
  • Backup and recovery readiness review, including whether a restore has been tested
  • Logging and monitoring coverage gap analysis
  • Prioritised remediation roadmap with effort estimates
  • Executive summary written for a Namibian board or owner, not for engineers

Common questions

Security Assessment in Namibia: what buyers ask

What does a security assessment actually involve?
A structured review of your environment and the processes around it, combining technical inspection with interviews. We look at what faces the internet, how access and privileged accounts are managed, how endpoints and servers are configured, whether backups have been restored and tested, and what visibility you currently have. It is not a penetration test; it establishes posture rather than proving a single exploit.
How long does it take?
For a typical small to mid-sized Namibian organisation, a matter of weeks rather than months, depending on estate size and how readily documentation and access are available. The output is a prioritised roadmap, so you can begin acting on the first items before the whole programme is finished.
Should we do an assessment or a penetration test first?
An assessment, almost always. A penetration test run before the fundamentals are in place produces a long report telling you to do the things an assessment would have identified at lower cost. Test once you have addressed the basics and want to prove they hold.
